Auction airs Thursday, April 29 – Sunday, May 2 on WVIZ/PBS

WVIZ/PBS is currently looking for volunteers who can help the station collect donations for its popular Televised Auction.  The WVIZ/PBS Televised Auction will air on WVIZ/PBS from Thursday, April 29 through Sunday, May 2. While the “auction action” is two months away from its broadcast premiere, volunteers are urgently needed now. 

Called “Go-Getters,” the volunteers, with the assistance of WVIZ/PBS staff and other experienced volunteers, contact businesses near their home or office on behalf of the station.  It’s a big job as nearly 2,000 donations will be needed to reach the Auction’s goal of raising $500,000.  And even though it’s essential, it only takes a few hours of time to make the contacts and follow up.
