Filmmaker Ken Burns called our National Parks America’s Best Idea, and to celebrate those words and his upcoming series The National Parks: America’s Best Idea, WVIZ/PBS ideastream® and the National Park Service and Cuyahoga Valley National Park Association invite you to participate in “A Day in the Park” on Sunday, August 30 at 10-11:30am at the Happy Days Lodge in Cuyahoga Valley National Park.

Beginning at 10 am Sunday, August 30, amateur and professional photographers - as well as those who just love the outdoors - are invited to a special day at Happy Days Lodge (500 W. Streetsboro Road, Peninsula, OH 44264) to hear tips and remarks from local park photographers, and to take photographs and videos of our own Ohio treasure, Cuyahoga Valley National Park.  Photographs and video can include all park scenery, recreation, transportation and wildlife — all aspects of our own Park. ideastream® staff will be on hand to receive photographic and video submissions as part of “A Day in the Park.” Later those submissions along with previously submitted materials will be reviewed. Those selected showcasing our nearby national park will be viewed online or featured on WVIZ/PBS.
