Internships at WVIZ/PBS & 90.3 WCPN ideastream®
WVIZ/PBS & 90.3 WCPN ideastream offers a variety of internships at our offices in Cleveland, Ohio. The internship program is designed to provide students with an opportunity to learn about careers in broadcasting and public radio through hands-on experience.
In order to qualify for these non-paying positions, you must be enrolled in an accredited college or university and you must be able to receive credit for the internship.
Applications for Summer 2010 Internships are now being accepted. Deadline for applications is March 31, 2010.

The William E. MacDonald III National City Internship Program
WVIZ/PBS and 90.3 WCPN ideastream created The William E. MacDonald III National City Internship Program in 2008 as the result of a generous contribution by National City Bank to honor William MacDonald who served as ideastream’s first Chairman of the Board of Trustees. This internship was instituted to enhance opportunities for Northeast Ohio college students who want to develop their professional skills with the hope that they will pursue a career in the region. This special internship program includes compensation and will provide students with hands-on experience in a variety of public television and radio careers while earning college credit. One internship is awarded per year.

DEADLINE TO APPLY: March 15, 2010 for summer internship
QUALIFICATIONS:
Accredited school: A student should be enrolled in an accredited Northeast Ohio college or university or be a dependent of Northeast Ohio residents.
Age: Graduate or Undergraduate level. Undergraduate students will preferably be between the 3rd and 4th year of study, but may be accepted after the 2nd year with exceptional credentials.
Availability: A minimum of twenty hours a week for six weeks or longer.
A student can be majoring in any field: Internship areas available include:

* Communications
* HR or Non-Profit Administration
